Lace Scarf for the Passap Duo80 or E6000:

Yarn Suggestions:
Sunray's Mini-Dina, Yeoman's Aurora, Tamm's Estilo or a another fine 3 ply yarn. For a finer lace scarf, use Yeoman's Fine Crepe, Supersheen or Glamour which has a little sparkle.

Note this pattern would make a great lace shawl if knit wider than given here.

Racking handle down and the racking indicator at 0 (normal position). No pushers. Needles 45 left - 37 right on both beds. Set needles up before casting on. Both beds are set up with the same needle set up (observe the needle rule).

RC000. Cast on in the main yarn. Lock N/N 2/2 knit one row and hang comb and weights. CX/CX 3/3 knit two rows. N/N 4/4 one row.

Tension 4 N/N RC000 Start Lace Pattern
* Rack 1 complete turn to right indicator on 1, knit 2 rows.
Rack 1 complete turn to right indicator on 2, knit 2 rows.
Rack 1 complete turn to right indicator on 3, knit 2 rows.

Rack 1 complete turn to left to right indicator on 2, knit 2 rows.
Rack 1 complete turn to left to right indicator on 1, knit 2 rows.
Rack 1 complete turn to left to centre of indicator, knit 2 rows.

Rack 1 complete turn to left to left indicator 1, knit 2 rows.
Rack 1 complete turn to left to left indicator 2, knit 2 rows.
Rack 1 complete turn to left to left indicator 3, knit 2 rows.

Rack 1 complete turn to right to left indicator 2, knit 2 rows.
Rack 1 complete turn to right to left indicator 1, knit 2 rows.
Rack 1 complete turn to right to centre indicator 0, knit 2 rows.*

Repeat the above pattern * to * the desired length of scarf or approx. 20 repeats.

Transfer the front bed stitches to the back bed keeping in the needle set up used for the pattern. Return the front bed needles to N.W.P. Black strippers. N/GX Tension 7 knit 1 row. Cast off as loose as possible.

Pin out carefully on your blocking board, making a scalloped side edging. Steam well and leave to dry before unpinning the scarf.
